What is rooting fertilizer?

The 8-16-4 rooting fertilizer should be applied directly to the soil before planting new grass. It stimulates rapid root development in freshly laid turf. Spread the rooting fertiliser evenly with a hand spreader or by hand before laying your sod. If you apply it by hand, use a rake afterwards to distribute the product and prevent piling. Once the fertiliser is in place, proceed with the installation of grass rolls.

The Verdi-Sol rooter can be used during seeding or overseeding. It is strongly recommended to apply a rooting fertilizer at a rate of 5 lbs/1000 ft² to aid the establishment of the new seedling and to strengthen the roots after germination. Set your spreader between 5 and 6*.
